We had always been traditionally red wine drinkers, likely a family upbringing thing. As time and our journey through wine progressed, certain white wines began to stand out above the rest. There is something magically powerful about Burgundy, and in Particular the Grand Cru Vineyards of Chassagne Montrachet. For us they struck the perfect balance between power and elegance, fruit and minerality, butter and acidity.
In our second year we decided to add a white wine to our portfolio, Johnathon wanted to craft a wine following in the style of his favourites from Chassagne Montrachet. After many vineyard visits, and more then a few bottles tasted, we found an exceptional vineyard in Carneros which had a uniquely high concentration of limestone in the soil, something strikingly similar to the soil compositions of his favourite white wine region in France. The wines coming out of this vineyard embodied everything he loved in a white, power, elegance, and perfect balance. Our first vintage from 2019 exceeded our expectations, it hit every stylistic goal we dedicated ourselves to achieving, it is a white wine for everyone, lovers of Napa Chardonnay, and lovers of Burgundian White.

Carneros AVA, Brown Ranch Vineyard
Winemaking
Whole cluster press, 18 months in 50% new French Oak from Francois Freres and Louis Latour in Burgundy, undergoing 50% malolactic fermentation. Native yeast and malolactic methods are used to express vineyard character.
Terroir
30 year old low yield vines growing on well drained Haire-Clay loam soils, rich in limestone.
